 What does CANAR do?

CANAR helps maintain positive service outcomes to consumers of American   Indian/Alaska Native Vocational Rehabilitation Programs through the various trainings provided to Tribal VR Program Staff at CANAR Conferences.

  • CANAR Provides a forum to study, deliberate, and act upon national issues affecting rehabilitation with the goal of expanding quality rehabilitation services to Native Americans with disabilities.

  • CANAR supports research that leads to an improvement of rehabilitation services for Native Americans with disabilities across the country.

  • CANAR supports efforts to increase the number of Native American practitioners in Vocational Rehabilitation.
