The Conference Planning Committee invites the submission of presentation proposals that support and highlight the conference theme: “Weaving our roots together, binding our traditions, making our people stronger.” The goal of the Conference is to present information which will expand knowledge and options for Native Americans with disabilities. The Conference will also showcase models and strategies to improve and expand tribal VR practices; exchange of ideas to design and enhance the provision of culturally appropriate VR services for consumers residing on or near tribal lands, and presentations on techniques to enhance the skills and competencies of project administrators, counselors, and support staff. The Conference Planning Committee highly encourages Tribal VR staff to share best practices in the form of conference presentations. The conference registration fees are waived for Tribal VR staff who are selected to present during the conference. Presentation Proposal Forms must be submitted online by September 4, 2013. For more specific information or to submit a presentation proposal, please visit the Request for Proposals website.
The 2013 CANAR Annual Training Conference is an excellent, cost effective opportunity for businesses to promote their products and services on a national platform as it brings together Native American tribes from throughout the United States for a three day training conference.
