 Conference Presentation Proposals

The Conference Planning Committee invites the submission of presentation proposals that support and highlight the conference theme: “Renewing Our Spirit."

As Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation has faced much change and unrest in the recent past, it is important that we take time to focus on our blessings and renew our spirit. Native people have always been and will continue to be very spiritual. It is important that we celebrate this fact in our work of assisting the American Indians with disabilities we serve.

The Conference will also showcase models and strategies to improve and expand tribal VR practices; exchange of ideas to design and enhance the provision of culturally appropriate VR services for consumers residing on or near tribal lands, and presentations on techniques to enhance the skills and competencies of project administrators, counselors, and support staff.

The Conference Planning Committee highly encourages Tribal VR staff to share best practices in the form of conference presentations.  The conference registration fees are waived for Tribal VR staff who are selected to present during the conference.  Presentation Proposal Forms must be submitted online by February 23, 2014.   For more specific information or to submit a presentation proposal, please visit the Request for Proposals website.
